What Are Community Councils?
Community councils , which are made up of elected and co-opted local volunteers, are here to bridge the gap between their community and local authorities: they try to find out the views of the community they represent and ensure the relevant authorities are aware of these and the needs of local people.
Community councils also organise community events and undertake environmental and educational projects.
If you would like to help shape the future of your community, consider coming along to Waterside Community Council meetings.
You can also let us know your views by emailing [email protected].
